FULL NAME: William Basel Dudley BIRTHDAY: September, 21st Born: Decherd, Tennessee I've been with Clay since the beginning. We've worked together on every gig he's played. Through the highs and the lows (more highs I believe!), we have had a GREAT time. I really enjoy the behind the scenes work of putting on a good show. When the band is on stage doing what they do, it's very satisfying knowing that what I do makes it easier for them. When we're not out gigging, I love to hunt and restore old cars. Me and my wife Barbara live in Nevada, Texas, and enjoy spending time with our grandson Payton. Musical Influences: New & Old Country "I like anything that's good!"  When I introduce the band onstage, here's the way I intro Basel. "Not only is he a great friend of mine, he's also my Father-in-law." So very true! He went with me to the very first solo - acoustic - performance I ever played. He's been right there backing me up ever since. We played a showcase type show awhile back, and someone else "took care" of the band while we played. When it was over, Lori said "That sucked without Basel!" and it did! He watches everything while we do our job. He can tell if you're having problems with something, and usually before you can say anything he's there with what you need. One of the saying's in our band is "I wish everybody had a Basel"! ;void(0)) We use ALOT of wires and cables, some big ol' speakers, a power amp thingamajig, microphones, lights and some more wires and cables. I also have a very comfortable padded stool that I utilize on a regular basis!
